Mondo Techno - Il libro di Andrea Benedetti

La musica Techno vanta una storia ormai più che ventennale, ma ha faticato molto a essere presa in considerazione, soprattutto dalla critica. Questo libro restituisce il giusto valore alla rivoluzione sonora più significativa avvenuta dopo il punk, e lo fa con misura, ma anche con passione, raccontando le storie dei suoi protagonisti, spesso poco conosciuti, analizzando senza banalizzare i motivi del successo dei brani manifesto di questo stile. Andrea Benedetti sgombera il campo dai molti pregiudizi musicali e sociali che hanno accompagnato la produzione e il consumo della Techno e traccia in modo razionale e bilanciato la storia del “movimento”, delle sue origini contese tra le due coste dell’Atlantico e soprattutto della scena italiana. Perché anche l’Italia ha dato il suo contributo, mostrando una vera e propria scuola, vivace ed estremamente produttiva, sebbene osteggiata dai media e trascurata persino dalla stampa specializzata. Ricca di dettagli e aneddoti, la storia della techno italiana raccontata da Benedetti è testimonianza diretta e preziosa di “uno-che-c’era” e cronaca fedele degli avvenimenti e delle iniziative che hanno alimentato la “scena” dai suoi inizi ai giorni d’oggi, dai dj dell’Afro, ai protagonisti un po’ trash e presto dimenticati dell’Italo Disco agli exploit, tra gli altri, Lory D, Marco Passarani, Marco Carola e Gaetano Parisio. Ho voluto segnalare questo libro perchè per troppo tempo in italia la parola techno ha assunto significati diversi all’interno del nostro territorio nazionale che si discostano dalla sua vera origine e da ciò che essa rappresenta con tutte le conseguenze del caso. Ringrazio quindi Andrea Benedetti che in questo libro riesce, in maniera semplice ed efficace, a ricostruire la reltà dei fatti nel suo complesso ridando vigore e giustizia a quella che è stata la rivoluzione musicale più significativa avvenuta dopo il punk.

E’ con grande piacere che Karmasonica intervista telefonicamente Francesco Diodati, chitarrista classe 1983 che si propone come uno dei maggiori talenti italiani della scena jazz italiana.
Sotto il nome di Neko ha appena terminato il tour italiano che lo vede promuovere il disco dal titolo "Purple Bra" uscito fresco fresco a Gennaio per l’etichetta indipendente Auand. Un lavoro, quest’ultimo, che esalta le doti compositive del chitarrista romano e del suo quartetto d’eccezione composto da Francesco Bigoni al sax, Francesco Ponticelli al basso e Ermanno Baron alla batteria.
Un’intervista originale in cui ci parla non solo del disco ma anche del panorama musicale italiano, delle sue esperienze con il pubblico e naturalmente delle sue collaborazioni con altri musicisti d’eccezione tra cui anche Marcello Alulli con il quale si esibì a Mestre al circolo Elefante Rosso.
